About FCC License View
The FCC issues licenses for the use of the nation's airwaves and other purposes. License View beta provides a single portal for data on FCC licenses, and represents a step toward reform of our licensing systems and improvement in how the FCC makes licensing information available to the public. License View can be used to get data snapshots of various license metrics, to download large amounts of data in a common file format, or to obtain data through an Application Programming Interface (API).
License View includes certain data for active licenses from all of the Commission's licensing systems (CDBS - Consolidated Database System, IBFS - International Bureau Filing System, ELS - Experimental Licensing System, ULS - Universal Licensing System, COALS - Cable Operations and Licensing System). For additional information on the actual license data included in this tool, see the License View data dictionary. While License View provides information on cross-agency licensing activity, it is not intended for analysis of spectrum utilization or spectrum holdings of licensees. Detailed information on particular licenses and official license records are best accessed through our licensing systems.
