I generally agree with James Johnson's post above. Lets open TV channels 5 and 6 to digital radio broadcasting (no analog or hybrid) without forcing a proprietary standard on anyone. Lets also require all new car and component (but not portable) to be able to recieve the boradcasts.

On behalf of all of us here at NFCB, Commissioner, thank you again for coming by the Community Radio Conference this year and giving us such thoughtful, supportive remarks last Thursday. It'll be a real pleasure to continue this working relationship with you in the years to come.

One minor note I'd like to add to your post above, however: KFAI is not a low-power FM station. They are quite proudly full power. We're so glad you were able to see them in action!

Dear Ms Clyburn,
As a long time supporter of community radio, I wholeheartedly support opening up channels 5 and 6. The fact that TV is now digital has already allowed our local community station to increase power to reach more of the community and have a greater impact.
